About

My name is Sharujan Shantharaj, and I’m the Founder and Lead Creative at VSNS. Pronounced “Visions,” VSNS is a multifaceted photography company aimed at exploring how photos can be used to share the stories and emotions that encapsulate our human experience.

I began my journey in graphic design, and transitioned into photography as a supplement to my freelance design work. What began as nothing more than a 1-month trial, has now become one of my favorite creative outlets and media formats. My areas of focus are in portrait photography and event photography, both represented by my “VSNS” brand.

Being a designer means that creativity isn't always a given precedent in the media we create. VSNS was the breath of fresh air I needed, allowing me to finally create and express the stories that I have been so passionate about without any boundaries. 

VSNS helped me push my photography skills to create new and compelling compositions, and I aim to find new, surrealistic means to convey the emotions, experiences, and nostalgia that represents the connection between our shared human experience and the plethora of music, film and artistic media that surrounds us.

I also love working with people, and VSNS provided me the opportunity to combine both my passions in photography and people in a rewarding way. Since 2019, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing and sharing the stories of families and friends celebrating their special events and memories with their loved ones.
